Life hasn’t always been an easy road for this singer/songwriter. Julie Gurel had tried living life without God, only to find herself scared, alone, in an abusive marriage, and desperate to find some way out. She wrote music about the heartbreak she was going through, but it was filled with hopelessness.
God used Julie’s passion for music to break down the strongholds in her life. He put upon a co-worker’s heart to gift Julie a “Point of Grace” CD. Through the words, Julie found hope, and she found her way back into the loving arms of God. Even while things around her seemed too difficult to bear, she found hope in her Savior and slowly started the process of turning her life around.
Now, years later, and free from the clutches of abuse, Julie can look back and realize how God changed her life in a miraculous way. She is now blessed with a husband who puts God first, two beautiful children, and a successful career selling Real Estate in Music City (Nashville). In the process of recovery, she has been given the ability to understand and help others who are hurting and hopeless. Her testimony has brought forth inspiration to sing and write of God’s power, grace, and most importantly His amazing love.
Julie's music points to a God of second chances and a God who will never leave us or forsake us. Julie Gurel’s inspired songwriting is a testimony of answered prayers and a life renewed by the love and power of Jesus Christ.
