Bio
Filled with passion and fueled by pain, Julian Miles Davis has never known a normal life. On September 11th 2001 Julian's father and hero, Officer Clinton Davis was killed in the line of duty. "Not many people can say they remember the exact moment their lives changed; As soon as the last tower fell to the ground, a piece of me died inside" Says Davis. But from the ashes, a music career was born. His voice and rasp, reminiscent of a young John Legend, will captivate you at first listen, as if he were staring straight into your soul. With a 6-String in hand and a hole in his heart, this 19-year-old singer/songwriter from Long Island, has elegantly crafted dozens of songs including “37 Breaths”: a tribute to his father and the 36 other Port Authority Officers who gave their lives to save others’.
Davis is set to release an EP entitled Sicko: an account of love, loss, heartache, hope, and the struggle of finding yourself amidst it all. The album will be available on November 12th 2011, his father’s birthday. He would have been 49.
Julian’s middle name “Miles” was chosen for him months before his birth, when musical legend Miles Davis passed away. It only seems like destiny now that he realize his dreams and keep his father’s legacy alive.
“We're all broken, and franticly trying to pick up the pieces.
I'm still not sure where they are, but maybe you can help me find them, one song at a time...
