J Shiltz

Twenty three year old John "J Shiltz" Shilton is a Canadian hip-hop artist and Sauga City native. Described as a disciple of the boom bap, a real spitta, an mcees mc, Shiltz combines conscious intellectual lyri- cism with a thorough understanding of the rawness essential to hip- hop. During the summer of 2010 Shiltz rose to prominence in the To- ronto underground hip-hop scene through the success of a series of hit singles. Demonstrating an understanding of what tastemakers, gate- keepers, and suits want Shiltz quickly proved himself as an artist with a sense of the big picture. With greater notoriety comes the need for a more extensive catalogue, and through the releasing of several music videos and singles 2011 will be the year that solidifies J Shiltz's posi- tion as a top notch artist in a hip-hop community being watched by the world.
