Wilmington residents were treated to four separate and distinct concerts Friday and Saturday nights and two services on Sunday.
Friday night, besides the concert, Joshua Price and the youth gathered in informal settings both inside and outside.
Outdoor games included bean bags, riding on “razor” scooters, skate boards and blowing bubbles.
Inside activities centered on vignettes complete with sofa, stuffed chairs and floor lamps. Some were just groups of friends talking, others were playing games and still others were spinning a hula hoop or watching a movie. Everyone especially enjoyed the all you can eat food format.
During the youth concert Joshua rolled up his sleeves, exposing several tattoos that he obtained in high school before finding the Lord as his savior in his senior year. Many of the songs featured cover songs from Price being a finalist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent as well as songs from his two recently released CD’s.
Saturday night concert goers from 13 days to 80+ years were treated to songs written, sung and recorded by Joshua. His repertoire included a blend of personal experiences and original Christian inspirations.
After the concert Joshua was greeted by many well wishers and one person that told Joshua that they felt that he had focused too much on Jesus. That night Joshua looked upon the comment as a challenge and ended up scrapping his original plans for his sermon the next day. Instead he gave a moving sermon that engaged those in attendance focusing on, using an analogy from ESPN World Series of Poker, pushing it all in to serve and follow the Lord.
Joshua, his wife Deanne and David Bentz, grandson of James and Lyndall Bentz, who returned from a trip to Germany and Romania to assist his friends, were truly an inspiration to everyone attending the various sessions from neighboring churches and the southwestern suburbs.
While in Wilmington the Price’s were asked to do a concert for a college group in St Louis Sunday night. After the second service Joshua and Deanne packed up their Scion and headed down I-55 for the next stop in their quest to serve the Lord. - Free Press Newspapers

JOSHUA PRICE
Joshua’s last full time position was at 2nd Baptist Church in Houston, TX under Dr. Ed Young. During his time there, Josh and Deanna were married on 08.08.08. Sadly, Joshua’s brother Scooter died in a car accident-leaving town after the wedding. Joshua recalls thinking “It was the first time I realized that life really is a mist like the book of James says.”(James 4:14) After the accident Joshua’s perspective changed, “I wanted to make sure that every facet of my life was glorifying God.”
Josh and Deanna prayed that God would lead them wherever He wanted them to serve. A few months later they knew God was calling them to go. Even though they were unsure exactly what that meant, they knew God was leading them and would show them the way.
In the fall of 2009, Josh and Deanna quit their jobs, packed their car with a guitar and a Bible and started their traveling ministry. God opened up the doors and provided for them in incredible ways. They have partnered in ministry with over a dozen denominations leading camps, Sunday mornings, worship events, retreats and much more.
Today Joshua and Deanna travel to do all kinds of ministry across the nation. Joshua loves to lead worship and he and his wife also love to teach and disciple. Josh is a co-worship Pastor at his home church when they are in their hometown, Sarasota, FL.
