BIO
- It was Joshs sixteenth birthday when meeting for the first time, a man who would inspire and influence his outlook on music forever; Mr. B.B. King. This is where serious interest in music began for Josh.
Always taking his guitar to family functions, performing in talent shows, as well as choir and the elite jazz band at Old Mesquite High School, he played at every venue he could. Since then, he's performed at many establishments with many more to come. The Embargo in Fort Worth, Texas, is an example of one of the many benefit concerts he played raising money for charities, food banks, shelters, and Texas own Ballet.
Aside from making public appearances he also formed several bands. In 2009 the album, Light of Day, was released featuring the KNIGHT trio, (Allen Oney, Bill Webb, and Josh Knight). This CD was the result of spending many hours in the recording studio writing original tunes, and collaborating wonderfully together to create a unique sound. After playing a variety of venues including Pizza Hut Park kicking off an FC Dallas soccer game, bookstores and coffee houses, their CD was submitted to the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards.
Anyone who has heard or seen Josh play can easily say the guitar is not only a talent, but a passion. Performing for his family and friends matured into a profession. Josh currently sings and plays guitar at local venues in the Dallas-Fort Worth area along with short circuit tours routing in the United States.
The passion and meaning within the songs he sings and writes are revealed in the emotional hard cry, flowing from his guitar.
"They say only few people make it. I don't believe that. It's not one in a million. It's that one in a million that doesn't give up. You must grab the bull by the horns!" - Josh Knight
