Jon Galen

From singer songwriter Jon Galen comes an interesting new style of music. The sound is primarily acoustic folk rock. However, elements of Brazilian jazz and even Afrobeat and Indian styles are fused in to the sound. Through the collaborative efforts of jazz and rock musicians from around the world, a refreshing new style of music has emerged. The lyrics are very uplifting and at times politically charged with the end in mind of a more equitable world. The arrangements change a great deal on each song but the primary band consists of drum kit, acoustic bass, 2 acoustic guitars, and a pedal steel player. Other instruments are used through the album including percussion, saxophone, harmonica, sitar and more. Essentially this album is catchy, melodic, lyrically interesting, and driven by straight forward as well as world grooves
