Jonathan Sorensen

Jonathan Sorensen has a quirky poetic style of writing that makes all of his songs sexy, personal and a little startling.
His guitar work can sound rhythmic or funky but the melodic content always has a twist: Just enough spice to throw a little energy into a film or television soundtrack.

His most primal memories of music consist of some very lonely summers spent on the side of a mountain,
listening to the wind rip across the tops of the trees while he pounded out a rhythmic chant on a hand-me-down guitar that belonged to his older sister.
His writing, singing and guitar playing always tend to reflect the longing and deep desire to escape, to connect, to break into, out of, through.

Jon has written and produced in many different styles and genres including; pop, rock, indie rock, singer-songwriter, dance/electronica and orchestral soundtrack.
He has collaborated with Richard Scobie of X-Rated, Victor Bisetti of Los Lobos and many other talented musicians and writers. He is currently a member of Taxi A&R Agency,
The West Coast Songwriter's Association, Nashville Songwriter's Association International and ASCAP.

Jon often collaborates with other writers and industry at the Taxi Road Rally, The Kauai Music Festival, The West Coast Songwriter's Conference as well as at the monthly NSAI songwriting collaborations and meetings.

Jon's catalogue reflects the versatility needed in the competitive market today. In the next few years, that catalogue will become broader and deeper. Jon's mission is to provide the energy, the mood, the feel or the hits needed by his clients.
