Bio
Violinist/Composer Jonathan Levingston an award winning artist has written and arranged music from Hip Hop to Classical. His Freshman CD, "And What Would You Like Me To Play?" These original works continue to excite audiences since its release in February 2008. The album gives clear insight into the man, his creative genius and passion for music. His original works present a classical fusion that doesn't fit neatly into one genre, but to the listener it is a fresh sound with the nuance of jazz, romance and dramatic phrasing supported strongly by his classical base.
As a composer, Jonathan thrives for originality and loves creating fresh sounds; however, he is in his element when performing on stage. Delivering a great performance before an audience and receiving a wonderful response of approval and enjoyment is the ultimate achievement.
Each song on the album has its own unique sound and you are sure to enjoy them regardless of your preferred genre. Jonathan's new album which will be in the genre of jazz is scheduled for release in 2011.
Jonathan is most pleased to have the opportunity to work with Brian Lockard, the pianist on the CD. He is an award winning artist whose articulation and fluent playing style accentuates and compliments Jonathan's narrative writing style.
Jonathan has been influenced by great artists and composers such as Claude Debussy, Fritz Kriesler, Oscar Peterson, Sergey Rachmaninoff, and William Walton.
