Review by Patricia O'Hare - New York Daily News
"Save the Musicians and the Music" Singer Keith David, narrator of the PBS series, Jazz, emceed. John Malino and Keith David were playful and agile as they performed an upbeat tongue-in-cheek duet "Open Up the Dog House". - The New York Times
"Planning the Perfect Party"
The versitile and distinctively upbeat spirit of John Malino Band ranges in style from jazz standards and big band arrangements, to classic rock, rhythm and blues, Motown sounds and his own compositions. The John Malino Band (is) an energetic quintet, with heartthrob handsome Malino (comparisons to Harry Connick, Jr. abound). The band has played Elaine's, Le Cirque, Maxim's, Gracie Mansion and The Kennedy Center. - New York Magazine
