Bio
Joan Delaney started studying Ballet and performing at the age of 5. She continued her dance studies in Ballet, adding Jazz and Tap to her studies, and became attracted to the Broadway stage by her mother who also danced and loved the theater.
Joan extended her repertoire with singing and acting and began performing in a number of local Community Theatre shows including Cabaret, Damn Yankees, Carousel and others.
She continued to hone her skills by studying Voice and Acting through the local Community Colleges receiving an Associates Degree in Theatre and a certificate as a Vocal Entertainer in Music. Joan has been a member of a number of choirs including, most recently, the Orange Coast Community College Choir.
Joan has performed in a number of themed musical revues both singing and dancing. Solo songs performed have included "Cabaret" (Cabaret), "Nothing" and "One" (A Chorus Line), "All That Jazz" (Chicago) and "No Time at All" (Pippin). Joan also broadened her repertoire to include many pop songs performing "Sway", "New York, New York", "Proud Mary", "Magic Man" and many others.
Joan is looking for performance opportunities in musical reviews or full length musical theatre productions in her local community.
