Bio
In February 2003, J-L went to a bar in Washington, D.C. where he was attending law school at Georgetown University and watched a showcase of amateur comedians. J-L inquired how he could get stage time and after following some leads, he began performing at open mics. Quickly developing a knack for it, J-L was named Washington D.C.’s funniest student in March 2004 at a sold out show at the D.C. Improv. After moving back to New York upon graduation, J-L continued to work at night as a comic and as a district attorney during the day. He’s performed at the Boston, DC and Detroit Comedy Festivals, appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, NESN Comedy All-Stars and has performed all across the country. He has released two CDs, 2006’s Racial Chameleon and 2008’s Diamond Maker and has been featured in the book The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Jokes.
