"With just her piano and a warm, engaging voice, Jacquie creates songs that harken back to the days when singer-songwriters like Carole King roamed the earth." - Christopher Muther

"....Pure as ivory, searingly elegant and enchantingly haunting. Jacquie's vocals are angelic and soulful, punctuated by erudite lyrics that speak of pain and love equally with staggering grace. The singer's voice is a marvelous instrument itself...." - John Pigeau

"This is what I like to call 'The Genuine Article'....the purest of pure. This woman has a voice that would give Joni Mitchell goosebumps....." (DEREK SIVERS)
A funny and endearing presence, Jacqueline has been described as a combination of Amelie, Lucy Ricardo, and Julia Child. Jacqueline holds a Master’s degree in writing from New York University, and when she isn’t writing songs, she’s writing poetry or fiction. When she isn’t writing, she’s cooking. When she isn't writing, or singing, or cooking, she is most likely bumping into things.
Jacqueline is most often compared to Sara Bareilles (piano, big, emotive voice) and also Aimee Mann, Ben Folds, and Eva Cassidy. Her music can be summed up as: "Sometimes folky piano-pop."
A rare and multi-faceted talent, Jacqueline’s stage presence is charming and witty. She has a knack for storytelling, an expressive face, and is known for her off-kilter choice in covers.
Shortly after she released Tales & Songs from Helen Gonne in 2010, produced by Benjamin Grotto (Dresden Dolls, Jules Shear), her mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Though her album received rave reviews, Jacqueline took a hiatus from live performance to be with her family; during this time, she began writing her second album, which is currently in pre-production.
Jacqueline is represented by Everything Independent in New York City.
