Jesse Young is looking to make waves with his newest music release "Live. Love. Learn." The 4 song EP will be available for download from iTunes on next Tuesday March 2nd. If you haven't heard any of Jesse Young's music yet, the good news is that he drops in a little bit of flavor to fit many types of genre's. In just 4 songs you are going to be met with a lot of different sounds. He molds his music around the guitar but you will also hear a supporting cast of horns, piano, synthesizer, baselines, various percussion instruments and background vocals. For those reasons I have trouble making comparisons and categorizing his sound, but that's not to say you won't enjoy his high energy EP. As far as the lyrical message goes, Live Love Learn is a fitting title for this musical offering as the words describe some of the emotional ups and downs of a relationship.
Music Sourced is a fan of Jesse's music because he has made it accessible to anyone who wants to listen and he's keeping his fans involved. This album was funded through the use of KickStarter and Jesse has offered his fans a lot of exclusive items for their support. He has also posted acoustic versions of his music, as well as a few artist covers on YouTube. On his site, he goes on to thank his production team for making his music shine, and states that this is his best recorded music yet. Check out what he's got at JesseYoungMusic.com.
Oh and Jesse if you are reading this, I would personally like to know what some of your musical influences are and how that played a role in the sound you've created with Live Love Learn. I can practically copy and paste your list of "favorite music artists" as my own so you've got me wondering.

An upbeat and hopeful look at broken romance.
Floridian singer/songwriter Jesse Young gives us a look into taking the leap into love with no regrets on his EP Live.Love.Learn. We are taken on a journey through the dissolution of a relationship in just four songs, and Jesse shows us that even if things don’t work out, it is worth the effort and time. He ends his message with no fear and sadness, but with strength and knowledge in who he is as a person and in a relationship, moving forward when he’s left behind.
The amazing thing about this EP is the simplicity of taking the risk to tell someone how you feel and giving things a try, and being confident that you have so much to offer to someone. Knowing that the other person is the one missing out is key, because often in heartbreak, the person who is left feels the pain and loss. Life is all about loving, and the freedom to give that love and learn from the pain. If we don’t love, we don’t learn. And what is life but a constant lesson?
Jesse’s voice is familiar yet unique, immediately drawing you into the story and the melody. I personally revel in the brightness of the horn section on the track, “Every Step You Take.” The vibrant, pop musicality of this EP will leave you energized and ready to take on whatever comes at you.
Live.Love.Learn makes it’s debut this Spring. Keep an eye on his website, jesseyoungmusic.com for the release date! Jesse also has a couple of shows coming up in Florida, so run to his events page for dates, and check him out live!

Jesse Young's "Live, Love, Learn EP" is a group of four throwback songs. In 2011, these songs will be appreciated by a group of people that love good song writing and enjoy good music. In 1997, these songs would have burned up the airwaves at Top 40 and Hot-AC radio. In 2011, the reach is considerably smaller for songs like this, but that doesn't mean that you can't enjoy these wonderful tracks. Jesse's "Live, Love, Learn" has four songs that don't borrow from different artists as much as tinge different influences through the songs. You can hear faint traces of Dave Matthews and Del Amitri on these tracks, and they're welcome influences. You can also hear the influence that producer Zach Ziskin had on these songs. He's known for working with Jon Secada and when you listen to this EP with this knowledge, you can hear that Ziskin's production with Jesse Young sounds like Americanized Jon Secada music performed with 90's classic songwriting. It's an interesting blend, and one that you can enjoy if you're a fan of good music. Jesse's "Live, Love, Learn" is great on the upbeat songs- "Every Step We Take", "If You Go", and "Shattered", but the duet that Jesse did with "Running" is equally good. Music like this just isn't made anymore, and I mean that in a very positive way. Jesse took advantage of some solid songwriting and some good production. The result is an EP that will be appreciated by people who love good music. - AlternativeAddiction.com
