Bio
Jensen Reed is a Los Angeles-based artist whose debut full length record, Forget About the Cameras made major waves. USA Today says Jensen Reed slides through hip-hop with an unshakable rock n roll swagger. Reeds airtight flow fans the flame at the heart of his songs. In 2009, he connected with producer Christian James-Hand and the two havent looked back since; forming a formidable duo that has crafted a diverse sound with a pop sensibility over the past three years.
Reeds lyrics have an edge, and he draws from a myriad of musical influences ranging from old and new hip-hop, through classic rock, electronic music and indie artists. He has become a one stop shop overseeing every aspect of his career and has assembled a team of video professionals that produces stellar work. Reed has played historic LA venues including The Roxy and Troubadour and has had song placements in the lauded series Friday Night Lights, Showtimes House of Lies, the Oscar-nominated film The Messenger, I Melt With You directed by Mark Pellington and several MTV and VH1 shows.
He spent 2012 releasing a free new song every month as well as multiple music videos and is compiling those tracks for a Spring 2013 new album release. As he declares in Believe, Grounded by the only thing that I can call my own / The music of my life is right here in this song. For Jensen Reed, the stars are aligning right now.
