Jay Ivor, a hip hop artist based out of Brooklyn, has an upbringing dissimilar to most in the business. Raised in the South American Country of Guyana, music was a gradual passion that began with drumming as a child. After graduating high school, he and his family moved to Brooklyn where Jay Ivor attended Brooklyn College and further developed his fervor and ambition for music. His commitment to his craft included building his own basement studio with a friend, and spending years cultivating his original sound. Jay’s sophomore album, “The 3rd Eye – Revelations” has just been released on June 30th. It speaks about his life and the pursuit of happiness. It includes features from XXL 2014 Freshman, Troy Ave, and others. Jay Ivor is notable for being unafraid to experiment with different genres of music, and to mix and mash to create a unique sound wholly his own.
