"Royalty Records"

Royalty is pleased to announce that they have signed Jason Greeley to a deal that will see him release a new album as early as this fall. The native of Upper Island Cove, Newfoundland, garnered attention on the east coast of Canada and now has moved to Alberta to pursue his songwriting and recording career. "My music is about reaching one person at a time". Despite the fact he performed to over a million Canadian's every week for 13 weeks, Greeley still maintains music is about a voice and a heart touching a life.
Greeley will work on the project with CCMA Producer Of The Year, Joel Feeney. In May, Jason will head to Nashville to start writing for the album.

Bio

My music has been described as new age country with a mainstearm edge. We're hoping to hit the Generation X market with great country Melodies with a rock edge

In a small community off the Eastern Shore of Newfoundland Jason Greeley was aware of every moment in his 28 years.

He could tell you it takes but a minute for a nor easterly to coax the clothes off the line, a second for silence to disappear at The Old Track cabin any Saturday night and practically no time at all for a crowd to gather around his Gibson guitar.

What he couldn't have told you is, the largest moment to hit Upper Island Cove, since the 1982 Ice Storm,… would be him.

In 2004, after 13 years in a local rock band, one morning in February he asked for directions off the infamous George Street to a nearby audition. Seven months later he watched in awe as Canada's most Eastern Premier Danny Williams temporarily renamed that same place, Greeley Street.

Many roads, miles and moments are etched into a musician's soul as Jason Greeley would learn. From over 9,000 hopefuls across Canada he'd place Top 4 on CTV's Canadian Idol and return home a hero. A wave washed over Jason and when the tides pulled back his debut CD emerged - "Live, Love, Sing" debuted at number one in Newfoundland and stayed put for seven weeks selling over 12,000 copies independently in two incredible months.

His early musical mentors carved their craft into his consciousness. John Cougar sang to him about small towns and didn't Jason live in one? His experience is humble, simple living. Every man's song is the story Greeley wants to sing. It's the voice he's most comfortable with. "My music is about reaching one person at a time". Despite the fact he performed to over a million Canadian's every week for 13 weeks, Greeley still maintains music is about a voice and a heart touching a life.

His debut album shines with meaningful lyrics and performances. From the title cut 'Live, Love, Sing' to 'Tonite' (co written with Idol judge, Canadian songstress Sass Jordan), radio and fans are enjoying every moment Greeley gives them. But there is so much more to come.

Lessons started with Mom and Dad Greeley in the early eighties, today his voice is known across Canada with majors such as Walmart racking his CD but Jason is also back in the studio working on a follow up project for release in the fall of 2009 under Royalty Records.

From cross-country signings to private performances with NATO troops in Germany Jason isn't wasting time. It goes by too quickly. The most amazing songs are often 3 minutes long, deep thoughts barely fleeting and magic sometimes immeasurable.

Don't waste one second. The time is now for Jason Greeley. Be part of a moment that means everything.
