Jason Ewald

Jason Ewald is a songwriter, vocalist and drummer living in Brooklyn, NY.  His music is a groove infused mix of rock and 70’s pop and has been compared to the likes of Bill Withers, Jack Johnson, Steely Dan and Lenny Kravitz.
     Four years ago he relocated to New York from the Bay Area in California and has
grown immeasurably as a musician and gained invaluable experience
and inspiration.  He has written two new albums; 'EWALD'-A
studio album recorded in Brooklyn with his extremely talented band,
and 'The Brooklyn Bedroom Sessions'-recorded entirely in his
home studio, which happens to be his bedroom.
   

Jason has been involved with music his whole life. Growing up in musical household he first started playing saxophone at age ten. Shortly after this he discovered the drums.
Mainly identifying as a drummer throughout his life. Eventually Jason began singing a bit of back up. Then slowly he and others around him realized what a great sound he had and he began singing much more.
While fronting a funk band in Spain he started writing for the group and his songs were well received. A new page opened.
When going to see Jason Ewald play live one can expect to be taken on a high energy musical journey with lots of unexpected pleasant sonic surprises. You will find people dancing and also people sitting absorbed by the songs.
