With the 2012 release of his second solo record 'When We Grow Younger', Jared Lutes has finally emerged as a full-time artist who has found his musical center. This is a collection that reveals the anxiety and joy of fatherhood, as well as the dubious life of a traveling musician. The songs ring with jangle of Pop-Rock and the eclecticism of Alt-Country, with stark, personal lyrics sung with the voice of experience and resignation.
A veteran of both stage and studio, Lutes has enjoyed consistent airplay on CBC Radio, earned live performances on local TV, appeared at many festival showcases, and has sold thousands of CDs from the stage. Far from being a weekend-warrior musician, Lutes puts full-time attention into recording, performing, and behind-the-scenes promotion.
