Bio
Jack McGuire is an experimental singer songwriter whose music is influenced by his Dad’s stories of seeing Pink Floyd live, an education in classical and electronic music, and by working at some of New York City’s most progressive music venues. He is a graduate of The Juilliard School and has performed in all kinds of venues from Carnegie Hall, to arenas, to dive bars. The music he creates from all of this sounds like atmospheric dream pop backed by noisy drum machines, and lyrics about being alone.
As a collaborator he enjoys making music for dance and theatre, and spent last August with the Dutch Kills Theatre Company at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe performing, Solitary, at the Assembly. Following the Fringe, he went on a small tour across Europe, performing the songs from his upcoming debut album, to be released in late 2019/early 2020.
Jack also love to cook for people and hosts a monthly potluck dinner and house concert series from his apartment in NYC. If you are interested in performing or attending feel free to contact him, he is always looking for new performers!
Jack has adopted the code of conduct set forth by We Have Voice, and is dedicated to creating safe(r) spaces in the performing arts.
