Tell us a little about yourself?
We are two artists born on a Caribbean Island, M.G.M and D.S., and we go by Infamous Star Boys. D.S recently graduated from Temple University. We currently live in both Brooklyn, New York, and Philadelphia, PA.
How did you come up with your artist name?
One of our ex-bosses named us. Our last name was Island Boys, but we changed it after the Flysoulja, and his brother made the Island Boys track. We didn’t want anything to do with the image. It didn’t represent the culture we are building.
How long have you been in the music industry?
Together we have been making music all of our lives, starting when we were around twelve years old. If combined, we should have a decade-plus year of experience.
How did you get started in the music business in the first place?
M.G.M Learned how to play the piano, and I was writing poetry song lyrics in french very early in our lives. Music is that universal language that resonates in all of us, but we only recently started to get into the music industry after realising that we want to do this for life in 2018.
How would you describe your latest single?
Our latest single, “I Tried,” is dancy, which makes it suitable for dancing because it brings out the summer energy. The lyrics vibe is sad, depressed, or angry. We’ll leave the listener to choose which one it is for them emotionally.
When can fans expect the visuals for the single?
As an upcoming independent duo, it is tough to give an exact date for when we will have a visual for our singles. We would love to, but we are short of resources and in love with every track we released. We are constantly releasing tracks, and once we realize which single the world loves the most, we will do it. We leave it for the crowd to choose which one they want to see a visual for.
Who are your inspirations in the music industry?
We have many artists who inspired us to make the type of music we are constantly creating, such as Chris Brown, The Weeknd, Drake, Wyclef Jean, Lucky Dube, J.Cole and Burna Boy. Those are just the ones we remember. Some artists are not known in the American music scene but left a cultural imprint on our music creation.
How do you go about writing a song and what is your process?
The way we write our songs is simple, and this is a tip for all others who are inspired to be a songwriter. The first step is to find the melody. The melody is king; it reigns over everything. Last is the story or the message. We are constantly trying to find the message we can and should bring with every word we put down on the paper.
What is the concept behind your forthcoming project if working on one?
One of the project concepts we are working on now is how our peers would act or react if we were to fail at making our musical dream come true. We are exploring the questions like, What would they think of us? What would they say? Would they still want to be around us? Would theystill believe that we have a shot? It is a ten track project named Promising Time. We hope to release it by the end of 2022 or early 2023.
Any plans on touring to promote your latest single?
We do not have a touring date yet, but we are actively open and working for the opportunity to tour all of our projects. We are increasing our social media presence enormously because we want to expose the world to us.

We are already doing so. We have friends that we are currently collaborating with. in the future, a Chris Brown feature and The Weeknd wouldn’t hurt.
What artist have you had the pleasure of working with and what was it like?
We have a friend named Avangelia, and she has a gorgeous voice. We had a chance to have her in one of our unreleased track names, With You, which we believe has the potential to create significant change for us. It was excellent and very professional, she’s the best.

Discography
As of February 23, 2022, Infamous Star Boys released their first EP, Eternal Dying Love, a five-song project that encapsulates the duo's emotional journal and the moment they were in. Along with the project, the two explore their own tribulation love story trying to keep their sanity as they drift in their sorrow and unrequited love. The pair express their view on modern relationships through their third track, Feed the Beast. It was vital for them to do so as they felt like they were telling their environment's history and state.
