"Finally, after a lull in the performance, Mike Will and his Ear Drummers’ supported artists hit the stage. Although B.O.B. was the advertised headliner, he never showed up to the festival for reasons that were unknown. However, Mike Will and his artists Jace of Two-9, Eearz, Yung Joey and Impxct made the crowd completely forget the absence of the original headliner. Mike was wearing a hat that said “Free Gucci” on it, a teal wind-breaker from North Face, a Coogi sweater underneath, jeans and very flashy sunglasses that never left his face. They stormed the stage throwing out physical copies of mixtapes, jumping up and down and rapping along to major Mike Will singles from the likes of Future, Gucci Mane, Big Sean and many other notable rappers. After about 30 minutes, each of the rappers who accompanied him did their own songs, hyping up the small crowd in their own ways. After launching back into some of Mike Will’s most known songs again, they promoted their label again and left the stage. There was no official announcement of the festival’s end, but it was clear after Mike Will and the Ear Drummers’ set that it was over. No one would have been able to follow them anyway!" - GW Radio
We haven’t heard much new music from Rae Sremmurd since the January 2015 release of their debut album, Sremmlife — and rightfully so, as they were riding its hits well into last year — but that’s about to change. In January of this year, they released a new single, “By Chance,” and now, they’ve continued gearing up for their next round with the release of “Doggin.”
The track, which is officially credited to the duo’s official DJ, D-JaySremm, doesn’t just feature the twosome of Slim Jimmy and Swae Lee, but also Riff 3x, part of the Sremmlife Crew. “Doggin” is the first taste of D-JaySremm and the collective’s upcoming Trailmix mixtape.“Trailmix includes both collaborative and individual songs from artists in the collective, with Lee, Jxmmi, Riff 3x being joined by throughout the project by fellow crew members BoBo Swae, formerly a member of Rae Sremmurd, and Impxct, the youngest member of the crew,” they explained on Soundcloud, in the description of the song. “Every member of the crew hails from Tupelo, Mississippi, and the project runs strong on hometown pride – the tape’s artwork draws [its] inspiration and blue and yellow color scheme from Tupelo High School.”
In addition to this tape, the duo’s Sremmlife 2 album is on the way, too. - MTV.com
It's been far too long since we've heard new music from Rae Sremmurd, but that drought is officially over today as their SremmLifeCrew just dropped a new track titled "Doggin." As with anything Rae Sremmurd touch, "Doggin" is the type of record to get turnt to, and producer TL on the Beat certainly delivers on his end. The song will be featured on the upcoming mixtape, Trailmix, which was put together by SremmLifeCrew's DJ, D-JaySremm, and will feature not only Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee, but other members of the collective like BoBo Swae and Impxct. This song in particular features both members of Rae Sremmurd, as well as their new artist, Riff 3x.
To go along with the mixtape announcement, Rae Sremmurd will present their first ever SremmLifeCrew stage at SXSW this year on March 15, which will be presented by Puma. The show will include performances from all of the SremmLifeCrew members, as well as some special guests. Stream "Doggin" below, and stay tuned for more details on the Trailmix project going forward. - Complex

Rae Sremmurd fans have been patiently waiting to hear new music from the duo since their phenomenal 2015 debut album SremmLife, so in the spirit of that album name the group has created the SremmLife crew and dropped the collective’s first tape Trail Mix on iTunes. You can stream it for free below.
The project features both Rae Sremmurd members Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi as well as the rest of the crew like Bobo Swae, Riff 3x and Impxt. Jace of Two-9 even pops up towards the end.
The project marks the first new music we’ve gotten from Slim and Swae in a long time, and even though Mike Will Made It has been teasing his Ransom 2 project for awhile now, there’s been no recent sign of new music from the super-producer.
That doesn’t mean the boys haven’t been busy, though. When Beyoncé released her “Formation” video in March, people were quick to point out Swae Lee’s co-writing credit on the song. Hot 97’s Ebro, who’s made himself a very vocal critic of Rae Sremmurd and Southern rap as a whole, quipped, “Co-writing…Nice. Co-writers very helpful. I co-motivate.” Mike Will snapped back, “Naw no co nun dog we been the shit, been having fun, and you sir are a hater @oldmanebro lol…Now u wanna have fun n shit.” Even Swae himself chimed in, saying, “@oldmanebro is still not relevant.”

For Rae Sremmurd's performance at The FADER FORT Presented by Converse, they rolled with day managers, tour managers, and big-boss managers; personal assistants, stylists, a social media team; DJs, dancers, opening DJs, artists signed to their label, their DJs, their dancers; security, homies, people trying to be homies, and on and on. Rap is a business, and these are the people that make it run. (We couldn't get a picture of the security guard, because he was too on point.) - Fader

The SremmLife producers who show up for Trail Mix include Backpack and TL on the Beat, and elsewhere, production comes from Sonny Digital as well as the Ear Drummers beat team. Also from Ear Drummers, Jace of Two-9 guests on the track "Ride."

19-year-old rapper Impxct is a member of the SremmLife Crew, the collective comprised of Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee and a number of artists they’ve been friends with since growing up together in Tupelo. Back in March, the Crew released a mixtape, Trail Mix, and now Impxct is gearing up for the release of his first solo project, called One Of A Kind.
A first taste of that release, due before the end of the year, is "Get It My Way,” a clangorous glow-up anthem produced by TL On The Beat. "It cost to be the boss... so I had to get it my way,” Impxct said of the track.
