Take a look at this video by a Toronto indie band called Impulse. Using their own HD camera and their
own computer and video editing software, they came up with a professional-looking music video. Not that
long ago, something like this would have cost thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars. These guys
did it for $250.

When you first hear Impulse one thing comes to mind. Mark Coleman the vocals for them, he has an amazing voice. Shinedown a band most people know of come close vocal wise. I was blown away by their sound and was even more amazed by their range. When I heard the song Low, my first response was thinking how deep their lyrics were and it hit me on an very emotional level. We all have had times where we were made to feel like we were not worth anything. I have had alot of that growing up with my Father being one to make us feel like crap. This made me feel better knowing that when everyone hears this song they will realize that no matter where you go, there will always be people like that will have issues that you may able to see.
The guitar by Adrian Desousa and his back-up vocals are a big part, you almost wonder where he is when he plays the songs. It seems like he is in his perfect place knowing that is where he belongs. Overall this band might not be known by the general public as of yet but they will. I see a big future for them and am curious on what they will do next. Alot of bands as they make new albums they get better. Their sound changes to make them more unique and identifiable. The best part of me being someone who is from Canada, It makes me proud to have bands like this around.
On June 6th, 2009 they are holding a CD release party for their new album A View From You. For anyone who is able to attend this party, it is something that is a must see and experience. Without warning Impulse exploded onto the Canadian Independent Music Scene with their "balls to the wall, go big or go home" sound. Pure, melodic and nasty raw vocals coupled with powerful, edgy guitars and a booming assault of rhythm has impressed representatives from Sony Music Canada, Road Runner Records, Universal Records and Warner Music Canada. Since 2007, Impulse has released a full length album ("A View From You") a self titled EP and has performed the Barrie New Music Fest, the Y108 Spring Music Festival where they opened for Die Mannequin and has performed Canadian Music Week now for the third consecutive year. Mark Coleman (Vocals), Adrian De Sousa(Guitars), Melanie Espinola(Bass) & T.J. Edelkoort(Drums) bring attitude, passion and a stadium performance every show. The band's hard working and creative abilities have allowed them to design all their own merchandise as well as produce, fund and shoot a music video which caught the attention of Alan Cross of Explore Music In 2012, Impulse aims to release a new fragrance, custom dog clothing line, their own brand of high performance racing tires and some new material.
