Nuud

Nuud originally formed in the '90s with Quin and Todd Reid as a songwriter team. Quin was the lead vocalist and guitarist while Todd was the bass player. Nuud released a cd 'Blush' in 1999.  Their main musical influences were U2, INXS, and Pink Floyd. While the band played a few venues, the focus of the band was writing and recording. However, it was not a goal to market the cd.

Nuud was reformed in 2011 as a cover band that played some originals. This was an experimental period as we had a formula of doing a set of southern rock, a set of blues, and a set of rock. Over the 2 years that followed, they were searching for an identity. Quin and guitarist Derrick Hazel broke up the band and reformed it a few months later and focused on what made made Nuud unique. It was the vocal styling that Quin had while singing rock songs and married it with the tonal shapes Derrick made with his many guitars and effects.

In 2014, Nuud began performing in local bars regularly. They do not play many songs that would be on the set lists of other bands. While they mix songs from the 70s to current, they focus on what makes them unique and special.
