"The event will take place in Caras Park, which is located off of the Higgins Bridge next to the Wilma Theater. Riding will begin at 4pm and will be followed by a competition at 7pm, but the activities don’t stop there. There will be raffles, giveaways, food and drinks. "The Ride For Tanner Rail Jam will be held Friday in Caras Park. This event is being held in honor of the late Tanner Olson, a 14-year-old Missoula skier and BMX rider who was killed in an automobile accident in July. All proceeds from the event will go to the new Tanner Olson Memorial BMX Park Fund that was created by Olson's family. The goal is to create a safe and progressive environment for people to enjoy doing what Olson loved. This is an excellent chance to get excited for the coming season as well as support the local skiers and snowboarders from around Missoula. Skiers will be sliding down urban rail features onto real snow in downtown Missoula. Riding will begin at 4 p.m. and will be followed by a competition at 7 p.m.. There will be raffles, giveaways, food and drinks.
