“It's no small feat when you draw from multiple genres and influences and still manage to create an identifiable sound, but I Heard a Lion manages to do just that. … The quartet is described as "indie rock," a label that doesn't quite capture the uniqueness the band takes the stage with.” - Tulsa World
“This catchy rock band tends to stray from the down-and-dirty blue-collar rock of 2014. Instead, they embrace Vampire Weekend’s upstroked guitars and the positive flair that’s launched Wild Cub into the spotlight this year. Little Wars is the band’s most recent release, and it builds on moody synths and some driving drums.” - Paste Magazine

Bio
I Heard A Lion is an American indie rock band from central Kansas who have been described as "No gimmicks, just soulful Americana." Comprised of band members hailing from California, Texas, and Kansas, I Heard A Lion's sound is a rich and vibrant mix of West Coast energy, Southern heart, and Midwestern honesty.
In a small Kansas town, inside dusty abandoned rooms above timeless main street storefronts, I Heard A Lion passionately assembled their latest collection of songs. Featuring a driving mix of soaring electric guitars, warm Wurlitzer piano tones, and passionate vocal harmonies, their new EP "Little Wars" speaks unabashedly of the hardships and triumphs of life, growth, and love.
