Mario Valentine, aka iBlack Fiery
The journey for more knowledge and musical expression led him to create a full recording and video studio on the west side of Chicago to record his projects. iBlacky plays and collaborates with several Chicago producers, rappers, singers, songwriters, and bands like the Ital Conquerors.
He wrote his first songs for a class assignment on communication that he still sings. He learned different styles of vocal deliveries with his long time friend Clinton Kwame, a barber and singer at his family owned barbershop. Artistes such as Sizzla, and BuJu Banton of the reggae genre, with the collaboration of Damien Marley, Anthony B and Capleton on the dance hall scene are all favourites of iBlacky, and he surprisingly likes DMX and Nas of the hip hop and rap genre.
As a youth iBlacky lived amongst the Rastafarians, Nyabinghi, in the mountains of Dominica. The roots and culture of his music came from his own experiences and the spiritual depth Nyabinghi brought to his soul. Finding other like-minded musicians helped him create a company called Black a Black music. Black a Black music is now a recording company as well as a show production company that produced the first Warrior King show ever played in Chicago.
He released his first nine-track album online on February 1, 2013. Use the link below to search for more of his music - Caribbean News Now
