Bio
Ian Skorscha is a nomadic musician from Patagonia, Argentina. Has been touring from there to Canada for 10 years to become a troubadour with a personal sound. He studied guitar, orchestral direction, and classical composition in Argentina, and jazz improvisation with international teachers. After that, he toured with different bands in Canada and Mexico until 2019, and from 2022 on, with his solo project under the name Ian Skorscha. 2023 was the year of the release of his first LP, Lilah, and 2025 will see the release of the second one. He is currently touring Mexico, after a nearly 80-concert tour in Canada. Nourished by latin rhythms and folk sensibilities, Ian sings in Spanish but engages with his storytelling, taking us on a journey through the bridges he has built across America.
As a solo Artist he has performed Island Folk Fest, North Country Fair, Robson Valley, Kispiox Music Festival, and many more.
