Melbourne band Husky have been quietly achieving since 2006 without any major record-label interference.
Which is odd because their beautiful, easy-to-listen-to-without-being-easy-listening melodies could easily woo the Coldplay demographic (ie people who still buy CDs).
Frontman Husky Gawenda oozes talent, his voice (a honey-dipped version of Muse's Matt Bellamy) gently propelling moody excursions through funk (Someday), piano driven pop (On Fire) and the relationship post-mortem All Night Conversations with Cat Empire's Harry Angus on trumpet. - Cameron Adams, Herald Sun
DARK SEA
Great melodies in this one. Really subtle but it manages to do a lot of things right. If you like Grizzly Bear or Fleet Foxes, you'll dig this.

DARK SEA
"Dreamy indie pop with a dark edge. Is his name really Husky? Gee I hope so....
