Huntinanny is a San Francisco-based all-originals band. After initially making a name for ourselves by playing on the city streets with a suitcase generator and the drummer inside the tour van; we grew in popularity and became regulars at Milk Bar and The Boom Boom Room while the van, that was once a mobile venue, became a pop-up green room for us and our fans. After being asked enough by fans and promoters alike how to describe our music, and having no perfect answer, we agreed to coin our own genre: Thrashy Tonk.

Thrashy Tonk is a cocktail of Rockabilly, Americana, Punk, Country, Rock-n-Roll and even Jazz stylings. However we describe it, the primary goal has always been to entertain across genres and across generations. To get the blue collars and the high heels – the juvenile and the urbane all on the same dancefloor. An accomplishment that is evidenced by our wildly diverse audiences.

Winners of the 2014 Haight Street Battle of the Bands, Huntinanny earned a spot on the main stage for that year's Haight Street Fair playing for an audience of 5,000+. We have been featured on Reality Check TV and enjoy regular play on “The Watt from Pedro Show” (Mike Watt’s radio program). For a portion of the Summer of 2015 we were #1 on the San Francisco Reverb Nation Country charts. Additionally, we have 1,000+ plays on Reverb Nation and over 1,600 followers on Facebook.

Thrashy Tonk and Cadillac Hearse are two self-produced albums, that were recorded with Yosh! Haraguchi at San Francisco’s Faultline Studios, with a third album currently in production. Total sales, to date, are in the range of 550 copies (hard copy and electronic via Band Camp). We have also booked, promoted and funded one National tour (22 dates) and one West Coast tour (14 dates) with the latter receiving limited promotional considerations from Pabst Blue Ribbon. In total, we have played close to 300 Bay Area / Northern California shows and are now ready to take our unique brand of Thrashy Tonk to the rest of the American landscape.
