Bio
Frankie A. Soto, also known as Hidden Legacy is a national touring & working Spoken Word Poet & Author of a Weed in a Garden of Extraordinary Flowers, published by Boone Docks Press. Raised on the bodega blocks of the South Bronx of New York and of Puerto Rican descent he continues to be rising artist in the industry. Using a powerful presence and unique visual storytelling style he engages his audience to walk in the shoes of the poem, not just be spectators to the words. There was nothing Hidden in Hidden Legacys performance. He captured the audience with his presence before he even touched the microphone, but when he did, it was story-telling at its best says Reina Thomas of Kenyon College, Ohio
Unquestionably one of the best touring gigs going right now in the business raves Zachary Kluckman, Editor of the highly successful & long standing THE PEDESTAL MAGAZINE. Revealing all from language difficulties as a Spanglish speaking kid in a Puerto Rican home to the imagery and chaos of a school shooting, this Artist brings a comical undertone among the intensity of HIV, Cultural, Racial and Political & Social issues that challenges each listener to question and explore their own thought process deeper.
This artist has rocked the mic to standing ovations @ University of Illinois-IL, Virginia Tech University-VA, DePaul University-Illinois,, Stony Brook University-NY, Columbia University-NY, Utah State University-UT, New Mexico University-NM, Mesa State- Colorado, Grand Valley University-Michigan, William Paterson University-NJ, Wheaton College-MA, Suffolk College-NY, Dowling College-NY, Kenyon College-Ohio, Denison University- Ohio, University of Dubuque-Iowa, Georgia Tech-GA, University of South Dakota, St. Mary College of Maryland, Philadelphia University, Lawrence University-Wisconsin, University of Kansas, Pittsburg State University-Kansas, Baldwin Wallace University-Ohio, Knox College-Illinois, Central Pennsylvania College-PA and many more. Hidden Legacy is also a member NACA (National Association of Campus Activities), Fighting Cancer with Poetry Organization, Board of Directors for Heart of Music Org for Heart Disease with ties to several other non for profit organizations.
