Bio
Heidi and The El Cats has been around a long time. We've played three major blues festivals to date. We play gigs locally and started our career playing music at Audreys Cookie House. We loved to play and played with may local, colorful characters. We also host an open mic jam every Tuesday night in Lake Worth, Florida.
I'm Heidi. I was told at a very young age that i would never be a singer, so i set out to prove them wrong. I sing for me, its is a personal thing that I love doing. I have a great band, and am blessed to play with such talented players.
I was born in Toronto, Canada and grew up listening to the sounds of Motown in my basement. Went to NYC became a designer....Music came late for me, I didn't start really performing until well into my 30's when I met Cliff and had to get over stage fright and other things. Cliff Guest was born in Miami, Florida and played music all his life. Cliff is a film director and has worked for Geffen Records in Los Angeles, making music videos. We began playing blues after being inspired by bluesman Keith Brown at The Bamboo Room in Lake Worth, Florida. The blues finds it's way into your life, no matter who you are or where you came from. I've had the blues, big time.Been up, been way down... Our songs on our records feature the harmonica playing of Jason Ricci, our good friend and harmonica superstar.
