Bio
Founding member Jason Slack (Ex touring guitarist for The Superjesus) decided to put this band together after a long musical hiatus with a vision of a band that can appeal to both a mainstream audience, and a harder underground audience. After a few line up changes the band finally found it's groove with the current line up. On drums, Paul lewis (Ex Tidal and Death's Boundaries) and bass player, Regan Burgess (Ex Kaiser and the Machines of Creation). HAWKAI recently registered with the Pushworth group landing them the support for A Thousand Needles In Red, and have spent 2011 gigging locally in venues and appearing in the Scorcher Fest, whilst writing and recording an E.P due for release Feb/March 2012. The songs range from sonic sledge hammers such as 'Shameless' to odd time rhythm twisters like 'The Machine'. Their sound is constantly evolving, borrowing from a bit of this and a bit of that, some light and some dark and a bit of Ying and a bit of Yang.
Influences include: Karnivool, The Butterfly Effect, Muse, The Foo Fighters, Faith No More, Alterbridge and anything and everything.
