Hard Knox Band

Hard Knox is far from your average Cover Band. We offer the classic rock covers from the 60s through today, however we take an extra deeper dive into the music archives. Our selections spark a memory of those slightly forgotten favorites and no sooner after a song begins it become overwhelmingly familiar.

Hard Knox is a product of the pandemic in the truest sense. It all started from a casual conversation between Kirk and Brian at a holiday party. Kirk asking "who owned that pile of dusty musical equipment" in the corner of the basement. He suggested maybe getting together on a Saturday afternoon to play a couple of songs. After a few Saturdays and a little persistence, the weekend afternoons of musical escape developed structure and consistency.

After gaining a little confidence Frank the Tank was invited to join to add a little rhythm. Convincing Frank took a little encouragement since he hadn't played the drums regularly for decades. It had been 50+ years since Frank sat behind a drum kit as part of a band. His drum kit was so old that when he last used it they were counting-in songs with roman numerals. Despite the reluctance, he jumped in, picked up right where he left off. 

As a trio we set out to test if anyone other than friends and family thought we were worth a listen. With some measured success in 2021, we through it would fun to add a female vocalist. Kiernan bravely responded to our solicitation for an additional member. From our first meeting on that Saturday afternoon she seemed like she would fit right in. She joined up with us on one of those Saturdays just shattered every expectation. She is the real superstar in an otherwise band of misfits.
