Bio
Hannah Badillo is a professional Jazz and R&B vocalist. She is attending Temple University’s Boyer College of Music, where she studies Jazz Performance with a Voice Concentration and a minor in Event and Entertainment Management. At Boyer, Hannah primarily studies with jazz vocalist Chelsea Reed. She has participated in Najwa Parkins’ small ensemble, sung and student-directed in Ruth Naomi Floyd’s jazz choir, and serves as the jazz vocalist for Jon Shaw’s Big Band, JBNF. Her connections at Boyer have opened doors to the Philadelphia music scene, recently allowing her to debut as one of Lovett Hines' emerging artists in Justin Grigg’s Lab Band at SOUTH Jazz Kitchen Before enrolling at Temple, Hannah was a self-taught vocalist. Her passion for music began at a very young age. Born into a pastoral Mexican-Puerto Rican family, Hannah was influenced by gospel music and her cultural heritage. With the love and support of her family and guidance from impactful music educators, she decided to pursue music at the age of seven. Although mainly self-taught, Hannah didn’t let that hold her back. She created opportunities to express her love for singing, whether by performing at church, writing music, or participating in talent shows and theater productions. These experiences ultimately prepared her to study music at the collegiate level. Hannah’s journey from a self-taught musician to a professional musician shows her dedication to her craft. Hannah shows a promising career as Vocalist, evoking, talent, and a commitment to lifelong passion in her artistry.
