Bio
Paulina Srzednicka - "Violina" Violinist
" Music has been and will always be closest to my heart.
It is what gives me reason to be and realize my dreams.
Music is the language of my soul that allows me to express
those emotions and thoughts that are indescribable with words. Music not only brings me closer to people and God but it also gives me hope and acts as my inspiration and personal muse for creation. It brings me the happiness that is essential for survival".
Paulinas musical education started with violin class at a musical
school in Wroclaw, Poland and continued throughout her middle schooling. Foundations were built in the classical school of music however her fascination and attraction to music with freedom, rhythm, harmony and melody: improvisational, ethnic, jazz led her to travel Europe and arrive to stay in Brazil for 5 years. In Brazil she carved out her own style of music, influenced by rhythms of samba, maracatu, afoxe which, all united by a common purpose to create dance, sing and excite people, moved her deeply. Greatly influenced by her street music, festival and artist collaboration performances, the folkloric group from the capital Brazilia, Seu Estrelo e Fua do Terreiro inspired a unique creation -samba pisada. With Paulinas improvizational skills backed by alfaia rhythms played by Brazilian drums, this collaboration became one of her most significant and one of the the most loved. Brazilian songs, pandeiro and traditional peoples violin playing called rabeca under master Slustiano from Pernambuco, began to fall comfortable under her repertoire of skills.
" It is my love for music and feel that connects me to the strings of a violin, while my unique experiences have allowed me to develop and express the beauty of sound vibrations".
