Gutterfish was already on stage as I entered the Canyon Club on March 14th, 2014 and the audience was captivated. Emanating from inside the club, I could clearly make out the unique and distinct vocals of front man JT Hurt. His blend of hard rockin' power and clean golden pop tones draws attention from every corner of the room. The band was spread across the stage bathing in the glow of the Canyon's bright pink and blue lights and the crowd was mesmerized. Fans familiar with the Fresno based band have known them from opening slots for artists including G n' R's Gilby Clarke, Adler's Appetite, LA Guns, Enuff Z'Nuff, the Bulletboys and John Corabi to name a few. The band is no stranger to the art of long touring, strings of back to back performances and maintaining a strong stage presence throughout. Warming the stage for platinum recording artists Tonic for the band's debut performance at the Agoura Hills location, it was evident that the Canyon Club made the right choice in Gutterfish. In 2013 the band released their 11 song CD effort titled "Anti-Love Songs," available immediately on iTunes. The line-up of the band, honed over the past decade, provides a hard rocking yet soulful playlist that urges you to press your foot a little harder on the gas pedal when you drive, and guarantees repeat spins in the CD player. Performing regularly around their hometown Fresno area and throughout Central California, it was a nice surprise to see Gutterfish on stage in So-Cal and I'm looking forward to see what they bring out next time they're here. - Joe Dolan

Bio
Since there birth in mid 2004, Gutterfish has proved that they deserve the respect that is so apparent in there music and live shows. Since day one they have been making waves with their unique,
Rockin "in your face" sound, with very strong melodic hooks, unforgettable lyrics, and arrangements.
Formed by JT Hurt (vocals, guitar) after many years of frustration, decided to form the band he thought could make an actual run for stardom. The band went through several changes in members and direction while building a strong catalog of original music. The arrival of Roger McCarty (guitar, vocals), marked the beginning of an edgier, more distinct sound. With countless hours of searching for the right rhythm section, the addition of Greg Fernandez (bass) and Robert Curnutte (drums) gave Gutterfish the solid foundation that they were lacking.
Gutterfish has opened shows for Adlers Appetite, Great White, Faster Pussycat, Bulletboys, E'nuff Z'nuff, L.A. Guns, Tuff, Days of the New, Gilby Clarke, Rhino Bucket, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Motels, Atomic Punks, John Corabi, Tonic, Foghat, Otherwise and Tantric.
Gutterfish feels blessed to be able to bring quality music and live shows to the masses.
