Bio
Romane created Gumbo Jackson as a character. Gumbo derives from his different styles of music and Jackson is the name of his hometown in Tennessee. His rapper/alternative/electronic/indie style and introspective lyrics make him stand out amongst a sea of artists. Don't be quick to label him as just another rapper until you hear his music and see it is so much more than that. He uses samples unlike any other and uses them convincingly to tell his unique stores. Jackson is inspired by an array of artists including Queen, Nirvana & the 90s grunge scene, Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, Bob Marley and many more legends.
