Bio
Grüves is a duo of two young songwriters who have been close friends since the 1st grade. Their emotive and atmospheric musical style derives from a fusion of the member's eclectic influences. They have been writing together for 10 years, so much of the material comes from the magic of improvised jams, as well as experiments with instrumentation, song structure, and digital production, which gives each song it's own distinct flavour. When they write music together, there is no leader - it's real democracy. The two collaborate equally in all aspects of the song and it’s production. Grüves bond over their sense of humour and shared passion for exploring and expressing their thoughts and emotions through creation. They are firm believers that, while music is a form of entertainment, it can also be a form of emotionally cure, in their case, to overcome grief and adversity. Caelin, one of the founding members of Grüves, battled strong feelings of derealization and depression for many years. In December of 2014, he took his own life at the young age of 18. The band's first album, "Nocturne" is a concept album based on his struggle, his passing, and the grief that ensued.
Grüves debut album “Nocturne” is currently available on SonicBids. Nocturne is also currently being played on radio across the United States. Grüves is a passionate and eccentric Canadian duo that is dedicated to bringing their music to the rest of the world.
