"Crowgrrl.com - GROUND LEVEL album review"

"...checked out their new cd, Trustfire, and it freaking Rocks! This Toronto-based trio deliver a powerful dose of unpretentious Metal. Vocals are gravely and menacing ... set against a backdrop of strong fretwork and some stellar percussion. The Crowgrrl highly recommends this album!"

"Sleaze Grinder - GROUND LEVEL album review"

"TRUSTFIRE, a bleeding vice grip of aggro biker metal that splits your skull with an angry mix of soil-esque nu-metal and hardcore boot stomp."

"Gothic Beauty Magazine - GROUND LEVEL album review"

"Now this is what I was waiting for, a metal-rock album that demonstrates the raw talent of the bands guitar skills rather than cut-and-paste studio recording tricks. Ground Level sound like what Metallica did when they didn't suck. This is aggressive hard-rock run at full speed."

"Spacejunkies Magazine - GROUND LEVEL Live Show review"

"The next band on (in my opinion) was the most talented, and the most amazing of them all. GROUND LEVEL rocked the stage hard and loud making the floors shake and heads bang.......GROUND LEVEL had unique music and a variation of style....... The band had such energy that even energized the surprisingly small crowd. Leaving it at that, if GROUND LEVEL is in your area go check them out and you won't regret it!"

Bio

“The stage is where we live” proclaims Leo Gray, guitarist and vocalist of Ground Level, “It’s where the music is definitely meant to be heard”. Leo, along with Scott Leef (drums and vocals), and Jeff Buck (bass and vocals), combine for over 30 years of live performance experience. This collective experience runs the gamut of every musical genre from glam rock to jazz to metal and comes together for one explosive stage show.

It all began in late 2003, Scott Leef, Buck and Leo Gray, came up with the concept of creating a band that could fuse their collective rock and metal influences. The writing began immediately and Ground Level was born. With a mentality of playing shows anywhere and everywhere, the band quickly gained the respect and admiration of fans around Ontario. Balancing time between the stage and the studio, the band released two EP’s in 2004 and a full-length album entitled Trustfire in 2005.

With distribution to major stores across Canada and digital sales around the world, Ground Level has been able to reach a global fan base.

Since forming, Ground Level have successfully inked two clothing sponsorships, worked with some of Toronto’s top booking agents and have had one of their songs included on the soundtrack for the movie The Intercessor, which appeared at the American Film Festival in 2005. The high octane music from Trustfire is constantly being requested for use in other video projects.

For 2006, Ground Level partnered with the Germany-based alcohol company, Jagermeister, to bring even more excitement to the live show. This sponsorship meant bigger and better shows for the band and their fans along with some great giveaways.
The year 2006 also found the band being recognized with a nomination for Best Hard Rock song at the Toronto Independent Music Awards, as well as being asked to open a show for the legendary SKID ROW and KINGS X.

Taking their show on the road, the band continues to assault the stages of Toronto’s biggest venues including The Reverb, The Opera House, Bovine Sex Club, The Revival and Healey’s. Ground Level have also been hitting every venue possible throughout Southwestern Ontario, from Windsor to Ottawa and all points in between.

Constantly writing new material, Ground Level lets the crowd have the final say as new songs are always being tried and tested at each show. No matter what city they are in or what crowd they are playing to, when Ground Level is on stage, they’re right at home.
