G.R.I.T formed in the summer of 2015 in Saint Joseph, MO. GRIT is a combo of the 4 members names. Gary aka Garr on bass, Ryan vocals, Ian guitar and Tolia on drums. Playing our debut show in October of 2015 GRIT kept a fast pace hit the ground running attitude opening for such acts as Hemlock, Ektomorf, Bobaflex, ill Nino, Screaming for Silence, Don Jamieson, 3 Eighty 3, Dead Horse Trauma, Blue Felix, Born of Osris and many other local and semi national acts. After only being a band for 7 months we entered Black Knight Studios and recorded our debut album Trenkill with engineer Shea Black.
