Bio
The original guitar-beatboxer. Griffin performs as a one-man-band; creating all the percussion, bass, synth, and (of course) guitar sounds using his Gibson Flying V and loop pedal to produce a unique style of funk-rock that can be described as Funkadelic meets Tom Waits. No pre-recorded tracks here, true believers; all music is made live, from scratch, for your listening and dancing pleasure.
Born in the DC area, Griffin had played and composed for various bands since his early 20s. After the death of his mother in 2016, he decided to focus on his solo project and began working as a full-time busker; performing on the subway stations of DC and NYC.
In 2017, he was featured in Washingtonian Magazine’s “Best Of” issue, in the section titled “Best Music To Our Ears”.
Griffin now lives in Austin, TX and his single, “There’s eVil Afoot,” is available on all streaming platforms.
