Bio
Genevieve Faivre fronts the most versatile band in NYC with her power house vocals and dynamic stage presence. Playing a wide variety of music, from familiar favorites to jazz to show tunes, Genevieve and her bandmates, are true entertainers.
Genevieve began studying voice at the age of 12 with a focus on classical technique. She advanced her education in voice, music, and dance by attending multiple programs at Manhattan School of Music, NYU Steinhardt, and New York City Opera. Genevieve continued her music studies as a vocal performance major at Fredonia State University. She then moved to Brooklyn to pursue singing full time. Since then, she has performed in various jazz, classical, pop, and rock ensembles all over NYC. Alongside performing, Genevieve is frequently recruited as a session vocalist in studios for demos, background vocals, and lead vocals. She has worked with many producers and studios such as Platinum Sound Studios, Pinch Recording, Behind The Curtains Media, South Brooklyn Sound, and Mighty Toad Studio, as well as self recording/ producing from her home studio
She is frequently joined by guitarist/ composer Tomoya Ogawa, drummer Colin Taylor, bassist Dave D'aranjo, and synth master Ken Aihara. Genevieve can be seen regularly performing in New York City as well as all over the tristate area.
