A lover of music. A self taught singer, guitarist, bassist, inspired by the likes of James Taylor, Donny Hathaway, Ella Fitzgerald, and Take 6.
She has toured in the US and Europe and has played bass for such notables as Saul Williams, Tamar-Kali, Joan As Policewoman, and Toshi Reagon.
She writes and sings songs about love - thoughtful, playful, and hopeful. Sharing her music her with a passion for creating connections, exploring the vulnerability of our own authentic stories, and an immense respect for the revolutionary power that opens up when music rings true, Ganessa James brings her own unique, irresistible flavor to the stage.
