Winnder of five Downbeat Awards, Galen is a singer, composer, and lyricist born in San Luis Obispo, California, and raised in Ann Arbor, MI.
Known for his pure tone and vocal acrobatics, Galen is both versatile and fresh in his approach to music. You can hear middle-eastern, jazz, gospel, and rock, among other influences in his style.
Galen has sung on stage with jazz legends such as Kurt Elling, Bobby McFerrin, Chick Corea, Johnny Mathis, and Darmon Meader. He has also spent a great deal of time composing and arranging music for his band Compendium. Galen's abstract personality creates a different and unforgettable experience for the audience at every performance.
