The multi-faceted artist—who has long engulfed himself in creative writing and music, has traveled all around the world for inspiration. By traveling to places like Cuba, Brazil, Japan, and extensive visits throughout Central America, Europe, and the United States, Gaby has absorbed unique styles and fused them together to find his voice! In each song, you can hear the different fusions of sounds from the different cities.
Puerto-Rican born, California based singer/songwriter Gaby Velazquez is living the musical dream! Raised in Southern California, Gaby’s sound has been compared to the likes of Paul Simon, David Byrne, and Ben Harper, but his style is truly his own.
Gaby has performed at venues like the Fillmore, Cafe du Nord, and the Red Devil Lounge. He has collaborated with world class musicians and teamed up with Grammy Award Winning engineer Oz Fritz, whose legendary work includes sessions with Tom Waits, Les Claypool and Trey Anastasio!
Gaby’s newest album, Costume Ball, infused with world culture will be in online stores Nationally this Spring!
