Hey, hope everything good your way!!!! Dis is hot!!! We can get you on the Young Money Unsign Hype Mixtape Volume 3. - GrindCity Entertainment
G2 began rhyming following a bad break-up with a girlfriend, but where he anticipated creating a dark track, the outcome was the inspirational, ‘Sunshine Out The Rain.’ The pop-savvy slice of hip-hop offers a light through dark days, and acts as the opening track on G2's seven-track release. The first single, ‘Top Of The World,’ sees G2 adopt a positive approach over an up-tempo backing as the sing-song chorus sees him rhyme, “Standing on top of the world, living life and loving it! The whole world I want all of it!”
With a genuinely engaging style and more than enough mass-appeal to blow up, G2 delivers his rhymes with a clear flow and a commercially-minded production ethic. This appeal continues on ‘Give It Up,’ even as things slow down for the laid-back, synth-blessed, head-nodder. Stevie L joins G2 for the piano-blessed ‘My Lady Girl,’ a fine commercial hip-hop ode to a special girlfriend (no doubt not the same one who inspired ‘Sunshine Out Of Rain’). The track has a great summer-time feel that could easily heat up the radio.
‘Pick You Up’ sees G2 move away from the radio-ready flows, with a sexually-charged track complete with a solid, hook-heavy, R&B flavored chorus. ‘Pretty Girl’ sees G2 ease off the X-rated rhymes for another pitch-bending potential single release, before finishing things off with the superb, party-ready, ‘Fasholey.’
G2 seems to understand the balance between pop appeal and maintaining his hip-hop chops, all-the-while representing himself without any apparent signs of faking for an image. With some moments of vulnerability to stand alongside the more positive tracks, this EP acts as a fine introduction to this promising underground talent. That said, given his radio-ready sound, it may not be too long before G2 makes the move from underground to household name… - Pop Culturez

Bio
I started making music after a hard breakup with a girlfriend and I guess I just needed to tell the world what I was going through. I planned to write this really dark song about being mad at the world, ... but it somehow turned out to be very bright and inspirational. It was cool in a way because, without the breakup, I wouldn't have written my first dope song. That's what inspired the name of it: Sunshine Out The Rain. Eventually, I got back on the ground and felt great about getting through the hard times. Now, in life 1, I'm G, a thoughtful, reflective, a little overly sensitive artist type. In life 2, I'm G the rapper, big headphones, can't keep a good man down, dance machine, blaring into the mic, living the dream. Hence my rapper name G2. Overcoming life's challenges has lead me to feel like there is nothing I can't do, which inspired the lyrics to my first single, Top Of The World: "Standing on top of the world, living life and loving it! The whole world I want all of it!" Thanks and much love to all of you!
