This is something different: Fräulein Hona is a band from Vienna, formed by four complete musicians: they can sing, they can play the violin, the cello, piano, guitar, ukulele, chimes… and many more! These four young women (Johanna Schmid, Kerstin Eckert, Melanie Künz and Judith Prieler) make fresh acoustic songs, based mostly on their sweet voices, and they are releasing their first Album next October. Stay tuned for the album review! - Austrian Music
Allow us to introduce to you Fräulein Hona. A an all female four piece from Vienna. Kerstin Eckert, Melanie Künz and Johanna Schmid have been making music together since 2010 and violinist Judith Prieler joined the band in 2012. If you like acoustic pop and singer/songwriter romanticism then this is something for you.
Their music deals with the trials and tribulations of life, traveling, dreams and love with a pinch of salt and an ironic undertone. The band themselves describe their music as a “communal kitchen full of friends, tea and cinnamon biscuits, while the wild winds of winter blow furiously outside” – We couldn’t have put it any better.
Their album will be released on the 19th of October, until then check out their music on Soundclound below. - Substance is Meaningless

Bio
"Fräulein Hona might be the cutest band in Austria, but they aren't afraid of the dark. This DIY-indie group of four young ladies met while studying music therapy. Soon the books and theories weren't enough, so they decided to form a band and name it after the nickname they had given their melodica. The songs they started to make turned out to be well-composed due to their education, yet playful due to their youth. Despite that youthfulness, there was an undeniable wisdom in the melancholic fragility of their lyrics made even more honest by their pure voices. After busking around Germany this summer, playing support for Clara Luzia and Ian Fisher & The Present, and having a showcase at the Vienna Waves Festival, they are ready to self-release their debut album entitled "The Ground Beneath Our Feet" in Vienna."
