Frozen State

Toronto twins brothers, Frozen State are the latest Hip Hop act to hit the Canadian market. The duo were born in Montreal and raised in Toronto, as well as in North Carolina. Living in various countries, allowed the two brothers to embrace several music cultures which enabled them to develop and craft their own distinct sound. Both Jay-T and Slimmstarr discovered their passion for music while they were both in their teens and started producing their own original masterpieces by the age of 20. In the summer of 2004, Frozen State recorded their first seven song self titled CD. Their follow up album “Attack of the Clones”, was their 1st full length album which got a lot of positive reviews on the streets. The brothers want to be known as artists as well as producers; they feel they are creative enough to carry that torch. Their sound is described as experimental, because they feel music has no limits, so why should they just settle for the typical Hip Hop sound, when there is much to explore. Frozen State is currently working on “The Nature of Power” album, which is going to be 100% original material, written and produced by the brothers. There is no release date for this album, but they have release “The Nature of Power: The Mixtape” on July 19th to create awareness for their upcoming album.
