Bio
What began as an average kids dream, soon became a thrill ride of reality for 19 year old JJ. Graduating early from high school, JJ moved to California, looking, just like so many others, to make it in the music biz. Within six months, however, he was knee-deep into a recording project as part of Hollywood's (by way of Burlington, Vermont) most infectious and promising new pop outfits, FROM JUPITER. Formed by lead singer JJ in 2008, the universal power of this youthful smash-up pop band guarantees theyll be soon be pinned up on your teenage daughter's bedroom walls! Their high-octane brand of Pop Rock sensibilities and catchy alternative rock tunes makes FROM JUPITER the artists to watch coming over the musical horizon!
Evoking the sounds of sparkling pop, with a healthy dose of cosmic noise thrown into the mix, FROM JUPITER is a jolt of fresh energy, yet recalls the distinctive influence of bands such as Third Eye Blind, Smashing Pumpkins, and a myriad of favorite teen punk bands.
"Just like the British pop-punksters of decades past, as well as the originality of today's rappers and electronic artists, our music is a self-styled slice of life, its fun and it's edgy" notes lead singer JJ. JJ first began performing as a guitarist in various bands, always with a knack for the pop genre. From 2001 2004, JJ performed in various line-up rotations with the Vermont-based, punk influenced group, Class Clown.
Today, FROM JUPITER presents an undeniably strong, upbeat, top-of-the-charts sound. For their debut album, FROM JUPITER enlisted veteran producer Andrew Murdock, aka MUDROCK (Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Powerman 5000, Godsmack, Alice Cooper) to lend his Midas touch. After touring high schools in 2009, From Jupiter is back in the studio for their sophomore effort and have an anticipated release date of Spring 2010 which will be followed by another high school tour.
