"I love music with dynamics and music that takes me on a trip. The new Fragile record is one of these albums: Good dynamics, good songs, good performances and they take you on a musical trip from the river to fire and on to purgatory!" - Bob Ludwig

Bio
Fragile is an independent band from the Minneapolis area. They have just finished their debut album "This Land Will Be Civilized" where they were fortunate enough to work with David Bottrill and Bob Ludwig. Fragile's music is truly unique in the current music climate. The emphasis being placed on contrast, like it is with most great art. The contrast of light to dark, soft to loud. They manage to seamlessly combine classic story telling, pop finesse, and modern rock power all woven amongst beautiful string arrangements. "This Land Will Be Civilized" is Fragile's attempt at making a timeless piece of rock history.
Along with the creators of the record: Darrell Marrier, Chauncey Marrier, and Christopher Marion, Fragile has added two new members Matt Osowski on the bass guitar, and Adam Box on the drums. Only with musicians of this caliber could Fragile fully realize the depth of “This Land Will Be Civilized” onto the stage.
All of the String arrangements for “This Land Will Be Civilized” were recorded remote at St. Hedwig’s, a 100-year-old abandoned country church. The recordings from the St. Hedwig’s sessions were so inspiring that Fragile enlisted the help of world renowned studio designer Michael Cronin to not only preserve the building, but also to convert St. Hedwig’s into what will become one of the biggest recording studios in the United States. Michael Cronin has designed and built hundreds of studios around the world including Ocean Way and Blackbird Studios in Nashville as well as many personal studios for Mutt Lange, Shania Twain, Clint Black, Big and Rich, Ryan Tedder of One Republic and many others. In addition to its recording spaces, St. Hedwig’s will also house the headquarters for the Hands Foundation.
Created seven years ago by the founding members of Fragile, Darrell and Chauncey Marrier, The Hands Foundation is a non-profit organization established simply “For those in need”. Since it’s inception the Hands Foundation has built or repaired over 150 homes and lots which includes the clean up of many hurricane ravaged properties throughout Mississippi and Florida. Also included are the houses built annually for families in Monterrey, Mexico who were otherwise sleeping in shelters made of cardboard, pallets, tin or any other debris they could find. The Hands Foundation has also been able to send nearly 1,000 quilts to Monterrey in order to give families protection from their surprisingly cold winters. None of this would be possible without the help of our many volunteers. 100 percent of donations to the Hands Foundation go directly toward the projects and materials. All labor and transportation is volunteered.
As Fragile grows, so does the Hands Foundation, allowing for bigger projects and more people being helped. Although they have come this far, their work is far from over. Fragile intends to be a major influence in the industry for many years to come.
